Why homeowners choose a wet room

A well-built wet room turns an ordinary bathroom into an open, easy-to-clean, step-free space. They suit compact en suites just as well as large family bathrooms, add value to your home, and make life easier for anyone who finds a bath or shower tray awkward.

The catch: a wet room is only as good as its waterproofing. Poor tanking is the single most common cause of wet room failure, and repairing water damage costs far more than building it right the first time. That is why this is a specialist job, not a general building job.

What we do

Every wet room starts with a free consultation and a photorealistic 3D render using Virtual Worlds Pro, so you see the finished room before a single tile is laid. The design stage carries a fee from £250 including VAT, credited in full against your project when you go ahead.

Where we work

We install wet rooms across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire from our Letchworth Garden City showroom — including Hitchin, Stevenage, Baldock, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Bedford and the surrounding villages.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

Not at all. You are very welcome to walk in and browse tiles, sanitaryware and samples during opening hours. If you would like to discuss a bathroom or wet room renovation, or use our design service, we hold a slot of up to two hours so a designer is free to work through the project with you.

How much does a wet room cost?

Most of our wet room conversions come in between £9,000 and £18,000 depending on room size, drainage requirements and the tiles and fittings you choose. Every project is quoted as a fixed price after a free consultation, so there are no surprises.

Are wet rooms suitable for small bathrooms?

Yes — often more so than a conventional bathroom. Removing the shower tray and enclosure opens up floor space, and a compact en suite is one of the most popular wet room conversions we do.

How long does a wet room installation take?

A typical wet room takes two to three weeks from strip-out to handover, depending on size and complexity. We confirm a schedule before work starts and project-manage every trade so it stays on track.

Do wet rooms leak?

A properly tanked wet room does not leak. Failures almost always trace back to poor waterproofing by inexperienced installers. We specialise in tanking and waterproofing, and we guarantee our work.
